4 Reasons why Wikipedia is a Man

by Oliver Adria on April 19, 2009

wikipedia_manHaving tweeted with @mueslikind, she said Wikipedia is a woman, while I think Wikipedia is a man. Here are 4 definitive reasons why it’s a man.

1. It thinks it knows everything.
It will spill its knowledge on anything, from Energy Policy Rulings to Luhmann’s system theory and everyday - apparently - it knows even more. Uhuh.

2. Sometimes it will be wrong, but will say it anyway.
It will just say anything, sometimes even wrong things and it will look at you with a straight face and you will believe him. Unfortunately, it can take ages until someone notices the mistake.

3. Ego
The first thing you see when you go to their homepage is how BIG Wikipedia is. And every time you ask it, apparently it’s bigger than the last time - yeah, right!

4. Women think it’s easy to make changes to Wikipedia
Women see Wikipedia as something where they can just go in, get into a relationship with and change the content until it’s just as they like it.

So there you have it, 4 bulletproof reasons. Stay tuned for 4 Reasons why Wikipedia is a Woman.
